  • A: An active adult master planned community is targeted towards people of 55 years of age or better. Master planned active adult communities provide residents with maintenance free living, close proximity to attractions and services, and a range of on–site amenities and services.
  • Q: Who sets the rules that govern age-restrictive communities?
  • A: In the United States, rules created by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) govern age-restricted communities. These rules require at least 80% of the households in an age-restricted active adult community to include an individual who is 55 years of age or older. Individuals under the age of 55 may live in an age-restricted community, but permanent residents must be 19 or older. There is no age-restriction on guests.

  • A: The two types of single-family homes are Manor homes and Patio homes. The Manor Homes are 4 attached town homes and the Patio Homes are detached homes. All home plans designs use “Age in Place” and “Universal Design” standards.

  • A: No; “The Villages at Nahor” will have a “Congregate Care Facility”. Which are an Independent living apartments and dwellings with communal facilities and services, such as community bistro, organized social & recreational activities, house keeping, transportation and other support services. The communal faculties and services will be available to all residents and their guests at “The Villages at Nahor”.
